EU Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights Nicolas Schmit joined Bruegel for a conversation around the future of work. Commissioner Schmit in particular focussed on the steps that the European Commission intends to undertake to address challenges related to working conditions in the platform economy. After his initial remarks, Commissioner Schmit engaged in a conversation with Bruegel Senior Fellow Mario Mariniello and welcomed questions from the audience.

This event was produced within the project “Future of Work and Inclusive Growth in Europe“, with the support of the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth.
