The Economics of Biodiversity is a global review that presents a new economic framework that sets out how we should account for nature in economics and decision-making, grounded in a deep understanding of ecosystem processes and how they are affected by economic activity.
Bruegel’s Guntram Wolff and Maria Demertzis chaired a discussion with Sir Partha Dasgupta, author of the report, and Executive Vice President of the European Commission Frans Timmermans, responsible for the European Green Deal. They laid out the central findings of the review and answered questions from the audience.
