This event will look at the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative as well as the response from the rest of the world.

On 8 February Bruegel is organising an event on the world’s response to China’s Belt and Road Initiative. The event will look at where the in initiative is five years on and discuss the response of the Indo-Pacific, US, Japan, Australia, India and Europe. We will also discuss the Europe-Asia Connectivity plan and then see how China is reacting to the ongoing trade war.
The event will feature the presentations of two Bruegel papers by Uri Dadush and Alicia Garcia-Herrero.
