We are pleased to welcome Dr. Masoumeh Ebtekar, Vice President and head of Department of the Environment of Iran to Bruegel on 13 December to have an off-the record discussion about the opportunities and challenges that Iran is about to face in environment and economics.
Climate change is one of the key challenges of our times. Issues such as decarbonisation are key for the environment and constitute a potential opportunity also from an economic point of view. In particular development of a green economy will emphasise on low carbon industry, clean forms of energy and sustainable agriculture and will affect also economic cooperation among countries. Which are the opportunities and the challenges for Iran and the international cooperation?
