Legal Expert

She is a legal expert at the Single Resolution Board since January 2020. She is an Italian qualified lawyer specialized in financial services law. Prior to joining the SRB, she spent 15 years in an international law firm dealing with banking law, insolvency and restructuring with a specific focus on distressed debt management. She previously worked as in-house lawyer at the Italian Banking Association.

In her private practice, she also provided consulting services to the European Institutions on matters related to corporate and banking insolvency, cross-border mergers and conversions, and retail financial products.

She holds a law degree with magna cum laude (University of Parma), a diploma in European studies from the European College (Parma) and LLM in financial services law from the University of London. She speaks fluently Italian, English and French.

Study on the differences between bank insolvency laws and on their potential harmonisation

This study identifies the national insolvency procedures applicable to banks and analyses key differences between them, notably concerning the circumstances according to which the application if reorganisation or winding-up procedures is triggered, the ranking of liabilities, and the available tools to manage bank crises.
