Francesco Paolo Mongelli

Francesco Paolo Mongelli is Senior Adviser in Directorate General Research at the ECB, and honorary Professor at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University of Frankfurt. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. He has worked at the ECB since 1998 holding various positions and prior to that he spent several years at the International Monetary Fund. Mr. Mongelli’s main area of research pertains to the functioning and governance of EMU, the links between monetary policy and heterogeneity in the euro area, and the interest rate pass-through.
