Dirk-Jan van de Ven

Postdoc Researcher, Basque Centre for Climate Change

Dirk-Jan van de Ven received his MSc in Economics with the specialization track of Resources, Growth & Development at Tilburg University in 2011. Shortly after receiving his degree, he joined BC3 in 2012 as a Guest Researcher, assisting Roger Fouquet with his work on long-term energy developments. Following upon this experience, he started an MPhil at London School of Economics in 2013, while working in a specialized research group concentrating on Lessons from Economic History for Green Growth at the Grantham Research Institute for Climate Change and the Environment.
Since September 2015, he is working for the TransRISK project within in the Low-Carbon Research group of BC3 as a PhD student.
